User's Manual for the MP3 library and player

MP3 Library

You can see the library grouped by artists or languages by clicking on "Viewing by Artists" or "Viewing by Languages" right above the library

You can add entire albums to your playlist by double-clicking on the artist name

You can double-click on + sign to the left of the artist name to see songs by that artist

You can double-click on a song to add it to your playlist

MP3 Player

You can pause/play, go to the next/previous song using the controls on the first row of the player

You can fast-forward or rewind a song using the interactive bar on the second row

You can toggle between time elapsed and time remaining by clicking on the timer in the second row

You can toggle between random and standard play by clicking on the RND button

You can adjust the volume using the volume bar or mute/unmute using the volume icon on the right

You can double-click on a song to play it

You can drag-n-drop one or more songs within the playlist to change their order

You can select a group of songs that are together using clicking on the first song, holding Shift and clicking on the last song

You can click on more than one song by keeping the Control key down

You can click on a song and click "Remove" under the playlist to remove it

You can click on a song and click "Delete" on your keyboard to remove it

You can click on "Remove All" under the playlist to clear the playlist

If there is a store name next to "Buy At:", you can click on it to go to the store that's selling the current song

You may also be able to get to the store by clicking on the image (if there is one for the song)

You can rate a song on a scale of 1-5 stars ONLY as it's playing (Song ratings will be updated every day or so)

You can suggest a correction for a song name using the feedback window at the bottom as the song is playing. Please do not use this to leave your feedback.

You need to be logged in to perform the following functions

You can save your playlist by clicking on "Save" under the playlist. A user can have at most one save playlist at a time.

You can load your previously saved playlist by clicking on "Load." Your saved playlist will load when you first log in.

Uploading MP3s...

You can upload new MP3s by clicking on the "Add.Song" link (You'll need to clear your cache and reload the front page player to see your updates)

You can see all the songs in the collection by clicking on the "Show.All.Songs" link

On the list of songs, you can see the songs by a specific artist by clicking on the artist name

You can see all the songs uploaded by yourself by clicking on the "Show.My.Songs" link

For songs you've uploaded, you can edit the details by clicking on the name of the song (Clearing cache required here as well)

You can choose to put an image url for the song to be displayed next to the playlist when the song is playing

You can also choose to put a url for an online store and that will be linked to the "Buy At" attribute on the right and an image if one was provided

There is no repeat toggle button because the player is automatically set to repeat the playlist when it gets to the last song. Please ask questions in the FAQ section.
